Registering to play in the South Boise Little League
Registration will begin November 1st and end February 15th. View our REGISTRATION page for details.
How are players assigned to a division?
Each player is assigned to a division based on Little League® regulations, league age, skill level, safety and availability. Click here for more information.
What does “league age” mean?
The league age is the age a player is as of a specific date. League age can be different than a player’s actual age. To find out your child’s league age for the upcoming season, click here.
Assessments
Players are divided into assessment groups based on age and division of play from the previous year and are evaluated on skills and knowledge of the game. Coaches will evaluate players through a series of stations:
- Fielding
- Throwing
- Catching
- Batting
For more information about assessments, click here.

Fundraisers
Each player of South Boise Little League is asked to sell a minimum of 30 raffle tickets for the league’s biggest fundraising event of the season – the Opening Day Themed Raffle. Tickets are sold for $1 each or six tickets for $5. You do not have to be present to win. The team that sells the most raffle tickets wins a pizza party! We usually have 40+ baskets and prizes we raffle off during our Opening Day Celebration. Funds raised at this event are used to maintain and upgrade fields and equipment.
If you are interested in volunteering to help secure raffle donations for this event, please send an email to [email protected].
Opening Day
Opening Day is scheduled for the 2nd Friday in April at Liberty Park. We will have hotdogs, chips, and a drink free for all players and volunteers. Free games and prizes for the kids, SBLL hoodies, T-shirts, and baseball hats for sale, and we draw the names for the raffle baskets about halfway through the celebration. Be sure to attend this fun event! Family and friends are welcome!
Uniforms
South Boise Little League provides all players with a team jersey and hat. Sizing charts are available on our website by clicking here. Please ensure the correct size is provided on the players profile at the time of registration. South Boise Little League is not responsible for uniforms that do not fit. Player information can be updated at any time. Coaches will inform you of additional uniform and/or equipment needed.
Use of the Official Little League® Patch is mandatory for all divisions of Little League® for both regular season and tournament play. All patches are washable and can be sewn on or heat sealed.
