South Boise Little League T-Ball

FUN, FITNESS, AND FUNDAMENTALS

Families in communities worldwide are introduced to Little League® through T-Ball every year. This introduction presents leagues with an important opportunity to provide a positive introduction to baseball and softball that is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals.

What a T-ball Coach needs to know.
South Boise Little League is an all volunteer league. Parents need to understand the league is only as good as the parents. Too many parents this is their first time their child has played and organized sport.  As coaches we must indoctrinate them to the world of volunteerism and we need and want their help.

You have various ages 4-6 on your team. Attention spans will vary based upon player. 4 year olds will need more help staying focused and 6 year olds may need more challenges. All rough housing has to be immediately stifled. Do not be afraid to involve parents as needed. Some kids many have little or no interest in baseball. We must do due diligence to encourage them.

Realize that T-ball is an elementary form of Baseball. Leave your World Series ring in your car. As parents we like to think our kid/team has great ability. Please remember at the T-ball level this is for fun and learning the game. We want to encourage sportsmanship, safety, and develop baseball skills. Our kids have the rest of their lives to lose and occasionally win.

Safety is your #1 concern! Read more about South Boise Little League by clicking the South Boise T-Ball Division Guide link below.
